Stylistically Wearing your Clutch

Sophisticated ladies have been carrying clutch purses while out on dates for decades. Trust me, there is no better evening accessory; besides your date, of course. A clutch should also complement your outfit, be it a blouse, a gown or a dress. These bags come in all different types, from beaded to leather or synthetic, boxy or soft and in a variety of styles. They have always been fashion staples from I could remember. Even though there are so many choices and so many ways to wear them, there are still those ladies who may ask, “What is the proper way to carry a clutch?” Fret not ladies! I am here to share some Stylistic tips on how to carry clutch bags with style and ease.

The go long Look

Many clutch purses come with detachable straps in leather or chain. If you don’t want to be too hands on with your clutch, simply sling it on your shoulder. The small elegant bag will fall to your side and you will look so feminine while carrying it.

Get a grip Look

Clutches are meant to be held, hence the name “CLUTCH”. The trick is to grasp it lightly but firmly in your hand. You can hold it from the bottom or place your hand over the top with your arm to your side. Or, you can opt to hold it with both hands in front of the body. It’s actually quite a dainty look, I think.

The Messenger Look

My most favourite look of them all is the messenger look. I love this look so much because it allows my hands to be free. I can sling my clutch across my chest and never have to worry about misplacing it. But ladies, I would only recommend this look for the casual scenes like date night or Saturday hang outs.

My Stylistic ladies, you must agree that a clutch is an ideal accessory. The next time you stop into The Boutique, make sure and pick one up for yourself. We will start out basic, then gradually make it your statement piece. I’m sure with these basic tips you can carry your clutch with confidence and style. After all, a clutch is what women are “DOING” with their hands.
